Adel artists open garden show 2025

is fast approaching. This weekend, in fact. This year I have been working on a series of pastel paintings I have called Land Sea and Sky. I love the way sky, clouds and light interplay to create mood and atmosphere, that changes all the time.

This first painting is of Blake Fell is wintertime. The figures, of my daughter and her partner are backlit by the winter sun, low in the sky to the west casting a golden glow over the landscape. I like the sense of journeying…..

This painting is of Roseberry Topping which is a well known and very distinctive hill for Northerners. The field of rapeseed glows like a field of gold, beneath a turbulent sky and the darker hill. The path to the top is visible from this viewpoint.

There are more new paintings, and I will bring a selection of greeting cards as well.

The artists show 2025 features a range of artwork, including ceramics, stained glass, medieval embroidery, feltwork and photography as well as paintings. Do try to come if you can.

There is more information about the individual artists on the Adel Artists website HERE
